My Etsy Find
Not only do I sell on Etsy, but I am avid shopper on Etsy. A couple of weeks ago while I was doing my daily browsing on Etsy, I stumbled upon these gorgeous candles. I fell in love. I knew I had to have them. I just got them in the mail yesterday and was so excited to put them to use. I had the perfect spot for them.
I have two antique candle sconces in my office that flank my antique mirror. I did not have any candles in them for 3 years. I just didn’t want to put a plain old candle in them, so I left them bare….until now
Spring Flowers
I planted these flowers right outside my office. I look at them everyday, and it just brings such a smile to my face. I don’t have a green thumb, mainly because I forget to water things, even if I walk past them everyday. So I am especially proud that these flowers are thriving. The only thing is, the birds keep stealing my moss out of the planter.
I bought this vintage bike this last weekend at Urban Barn. An impulse buy, but a happy one! I just love the nostalgia feeling it brings to my yard. I need to spruce up the area around the bike though, hence the reason I just took a close up picture.
Ruffle Me Pretty Please
I have always had a thing for ruffles, long before ruffles became popular again. So when all the ruffle purses starting coming out, I was in heaven. Now I am on a hunt for a new purse for spring/summer. I don’t change purses to match my outfit, so when I buy a purse it just has to go with whatever I am wearing. (I know, I know it isn’t fashionably correct!) I care more about the purses style, and functionality rather than if it matches my outfit. I don’t look good in BIG purses, it just looks like I am carrying a suitcase, I guess because I am height challenged.
Good Week
I thought that this week was very unproductive for me cre8tive wise. I have been in a lazy mood (must be the April showers we are having here) and it just didn’t seem like I was getting anything cre8tive done. Orders for customers, crafty stuff I have been dying to try after looking at all kinds of inspirations from blogland. So this is what I got done…
Two lampshades done and ready to ship for a customer. A yellow pomander, a ribbon covered cylinder so I can do a DIY tutorial for brides later. (I get a lot of requests on how to make these)
What inspires you?
This picture was my inspiration for a bedroom at our vacation house at the river. I just loved the colors in the picture, and the way the door is framed by the wisteria, just makes you want to open the door and go inside. The idea was that this room would be for my daughters, so I went with soft pastels of lavender and pale green. I needed lots of beds for not only my daughter’s to sleep in, but all their friends they would want to bring with them. I snagged the two wing back chairs and bench for free from my friend who was throwing them out and reupholstered them to match the room.

Flower Finds – Ikea Decor
I love shopping at Ikea because it’s great for people on a budget. While I was surprised about the lack of flowers this season (especially with flowers adorning every spring runway), I did spot several lovely flower finds on my latest shopping trip.
