Wine Cellar Before and After
When we first built our home, we thought we should have a wine cellar. Not because my husband and I are wine connoisseurs, we actually don’t hardly drink the stuff. We just thought it would be a nice thing to have in the style of house we were building. But as things progressed, and the length of time it took us to build, 9 years, we kinda put the wine cellar room on the list of “to do’s” after we moved in.
This was the glass door to the never finished wine cellar.
“Frames, Art, and Wall Decor” Challenge
I was SO excited to see this CSI Project Challenge! I did a frame, art & wall decor in my daughter’s /guest room last year. My heart just jumped for joy when I saw that I now have a place I can share it. It is really hard to photograph this room, there seems to be a green tint to the creams, but I did the best I could.

I read A LOT of blogs…I mean A LOT..it takes me hours to read through them, but I love every single minute of it. And the good/bad thing about it is, I find new ones every day! Good because I so love reading blogs, bad, because I am afraid this might turn into a full time job! {hence why you don’t see a lot of posts from me, I am too busy reading other blogs to post on my own!} It is so inspiring to see all the crafty and inventive things women are doing all over the world, it never, ever ceases to amaze me.
Damask Settee
I bought this settee a couple of months ago at a flea market event. It looked like this
My vision was to use it outside. I sent it home with the person I bought it from at the flea market to have her upholster it for me. I was originally thinking of doing it in a burlap, or a white twill with some french writing on it. Then I came across two fabrics at Home Fabrics for $4.99 a yard and knew they were perfect for the settee. I sent off the fabric to the seller and I am in love with how it turned out!
I {heart} re-purposing
As I was rummaging through my craft closet the other day, and I came across two brand new window curtain panels. Hmmm….I thought, I wonder why I have these? Didn’t have a clue. But I did know what I could now use them for!
My Version Of the Pottery Barn Outdoor Pillow
I feel in love with this outdoor pillow from Pottery Barn the other day. They have some great outdoor pillows on their site and reasonable too. This one was $35, a little more than most of them but really cute and looked hand painted {or at least the illusion of it being hand painted} Once I saw it, I was inspired to make my own. I especially liked the idea of not having to be too perfect on the lines since I can’t draw a straight line to save my life.
