I was SO excited to see this CSI Project Challenge! I did a frame, art & wall decor in my daughter’s /guest room last year. My heart just jumped for joy when I saw that I now have a place I can share it. It is really hard to photograph this room, there seems to be a green tint to the creams, but I did the best I could.
My daughter, who is 23, moved out a year ago, and took all the furniture and decorative items from her room with her {except of course the junk she didn’t want, which she left for me to go through} I took my time putting furniture in the room because one, the walls are all pink and I didn’t know if I wanted to take on the challenge of repainting them. And two, I wanted an excuse to go to all kinds of fun places to find great deals and unique items {my excuse for shopping}
In the end I kept the pink walls, and incorporated dark browns and of course, damask. I got all the frames, mirrors and art pieces from Home Goods.
I love the way things reflect in the mirrors at different angles in the room. This the opposite of the bed wall. I got these canvas prints at a store locally that was going out of business.
Then I decided to bring the theme into the bathroom on a big blank wall behind the door. I picked up all the frames from different thrift shops and Home Goods and painted them all white. {no natural light in this bathroom, so again it is not the best picture}
Thanks CSI Project for having this challenge!
