I think you should put those pineapple sconces back. HA! I’m sure that was the rage 11 years ago. Love the new look!

Haha! Sooooo true :) I cannot stand rag-rolling now. And to think – EVERYONE was doing it!
Glad to hear that your sister is claiming you as her designer again :)

Isn’t it funny how our tastes change? I love the new wallpaper selection.

I LOVE the new look – the grasscloth, and of course you know I love the damask.
Too funny to see photos of the before though. Although, I am sure that it was quite stylish when you first did it 11 years ago! xx

very very nice! Huge difference. A+ on your original job though, because it was a gift of love and took a lot of economical creativity.

hi Stephanie!!! Loved this post- as my sister and I have this same relationship!!! The new bathroom is wonderful! I love both wallpapers and how you used them. I am happy to hear that your sister can now say who her designer is again!!
to your credit … I do remember seeing the bamboo used as corner cover pieces on a high-end show on hgtv years ago and thinking that that was a “brilliant” idea!! you have company in me!!

I’m sure your sister is so happy with your new design!!

I’ve thought that too: what was I thinking?! But, our abilities improve over time; and styles change. what might have looked good “then” doesn’t always look good “now.” I love that you are doing it over for her! :-)

Oh I cringe thinking about things I did 4 or 5 years ago, nevermind 10! Our tastes change but you can at least see that you really thought of every detail regardless of the fact that it’s dated now. And I love that you say your reasons for redecorating were completely selfish – LOL! It’s looking amazing so far, really stunning! Your sister is lucky to have you! x
