I just realized the other day that I might have an addiction to grasscloth wallpaper. I first used it at our river house and fell in love with the texture and warmth is brings to a room
Last week I used it in my sister’s bathroom re-design here
I made good use of the extra I had left over from her bathroom and used it at my house for one of the guest house bathrooms.
And since there was even more leftover, I used it on the wall where the little dining area is (still no chandelier yet)

But since I was on a roll (pun intended) I decided to do accent walls in the bedrooms with another grass-cloth wallpaper I had ordered from Designyourwall.com
The bedroom with the famous Miss Mustard Seed Music Sheet Dresser.
I felt that the main wall above the beds had enough going on with art work and a mirror. No need for wallpaper there. But the window wall needed something. I didn’t want more art work or decorative accessories, I could see that start to get too cluttered looking. I didn’t want to take away from the rest of the room (aka The Music Sheet Dresser) But that window wall looked barren when you walked into the room because is the first thing you see. So I decided a textured wallpaper would do the trick rather than painting it an accent color.
Then…since I had some of this wallpaper left over as well, (I always err on the heavy side when ordering wallpaper, can you tell?)
I added it as an accent wall behind the bed in the other bedroom.
{Still need to have my husband put those wall lights back up next to the bed}. I like how the lighter green wallpaper compliments the upholstered headboard and tapestry. The red side tables keep the flow of the two bedrooms consistent.
I am now all out of grass-cloth wallpaper, but I think I had just enough to add a little pizazz to my ongoing guest house re-design.
Linking up to these wonderful parties

wow! I absolutely LOVE that wall with the MM Seed dresser. That mirror in between the two beds? perfect! And the other room is equally as perfect. (Just not my favorite)
Those two bedrooms ?? guest or river house? Love them!
Stephanie, you are just too cre8tive!
I’ll be “catching” you next week for sure!

I love the look of grass cloth also. I think maybe because it adds texture to a space without overwhelming the entire room with pattern. Love the room with the twin beds!
Wow! That is a lot of extra wallpaper! I would error on the side over ordering too if I could wallpaper all those extra rooms with it. Love the color you chose too. Grass Cloth is going in the new house file for sure!

i love grasscloth, too! such great texture, and you can always paint it another color if you tire of it (can’t do that with other wallpaper!). that last bedroom is gorgeous!!!!
I can’t believe you’ve done all those rooms. Your work is just stunning, Stephanie.
I looove grasscloth. However, my known aversion to precision and any type of measuring (math) means it might not be a good fit. I’d ask my husband, but he is a perfectionist, and we almost got a divorce over the weekend when he wanted my help with the linoleum.
Thanks for the visit today!
I have always loved the visual texture of grasscloth. They definitely brought some more beauty to already great spaces. The crown in those rooms is GORGEOUS! Missing you & finally able to pop in and see what you’ve been up to (even if it is 1 a.m. Ha!).

We papered our family room a red grass cloth above a white brick wall.; also on 2 other walls above wainscoting (same room)…….. it seemed to unify and “wrap” the room in warmth………great choice after having returned 2 other orders of black & white paper (poor color choice for room!) Well…that was 25 yrs ago!! Still love the cloth and don’t want to remove it – I’m considering painting it – mite repaint it red (faded slightly on 1 wall), or perhaps a mushroom color ………….can’t
decide!! But the cloth will stay. : – )
My friend copied mine yrs ago and has since painted hers white (it took 3 coats). It looks very sophisticated with a lot of beiges and accents of purple.
