I picked up an old Radio Flyer wagon the other day at Urban Barn for $20. I have been looking for one to add to my yard for a planter. This one was really rusty on the inside, which was fine for me since I was just going to add dirt on top of the rust. I drilled holes in the bed of the wagon for drainage. I love how it looks with all the summer flowers I planted in it.
It goes so nicely with my old bicycle and chair planter that you can kind of see in the background in this picture. I don’t know what this plant is called, but I love the white flowers it has.
And speaking of loving things…I was so excited to get a new lens for my camera! It is a 50 mm lens that is suppose to be great for portrait and low lighting settings.
I used it to take the pictures of the wagon. But I have to return it. I made the mistake of buying a lens that wont automatically focus for my type of camera. I had to manually focus to take these pictures. That was not easy since I never have my glasses on! Evidently it said that in the fine print, but I didn’t see it…cause I didn’t have my glasses on LOL. So now I have to spend a lot more money to get the one that will auto focus for my camera, live and learn. {or put my glasses on!}

I love the wagon-planter! What do you have on your walkways?
Hi Chris! Just getting a package ready for you! That is actually decorative rocks. I love them because they look like bark but don’t fade and aren’t a fire hazard.
Oh Stephanie- I am in the same boat. Can’t read anything without my readers – ugh!!! What kind of camera do you have? When I finally get to buy myself a DSLR, I am going to buy this lens at the same time.
Your radio flyer planter is so cute. Funny thing – yesterday my husband found a photo when he was a little tyke sitting in his Radio Flyer – one with only 3 wheels – not 4. It was a pretty cute photo.
My best- Diane
I have an old wagon, it even has a license plate on the back of it, that I actually use to move potting soil etc around the yard.
yours looks great in your garden with the old bike.

So cute! I may need to get camera advice from you. I am considering the Canon Rebel T1i… though I’ve only had a basic camera prior to this. Hoping this will help me take better photos for my blog, but I feel like I may need a class to learn how to use it properly. Any thoughts on camera types that are under $800? Is the one I mentioned a good one? Seems like it gets so pricey once you start buying lenses and all.
Love this look, Stephanie! The wagon brings back childhood memories for me.
What a cool lens–shame it didn’t work with your camera. I still haven’t tried my extra lens out. :s Thanks for the visit!!
