$6,895 sideboard I want to knockoff

Oh how I wish I would of played the Mega millions lottery!  How can I win if I don’t play right?  I would of  splurged and bought this gorgeous sideboard I found on Ebay

Now I am on the hunt for something similar that I can do a DIY knockoff.  I found this one on Craig’s list.  Got all excited, emailed the person

Sold.  Dang it!  Wouldn’t it of been the perfect candidate for the knockoff?  It was only on Craig’s list for one day, go figure.  I am wondering if someone else had the same idea as me.  It’s not like this style is the most attractive trendy piece everyone wants, so hopefully another one will pop up soon.  If I can find one I am going to see if I can take it to a body shop and have them lacquer it.  I am pretty sure the cost of having it lacquered at a body shop still won’t be even close to the $6,895 price tag.  I am crossing my fingers and scouring Craig’s list twice a day.  Wish me luck!
