She did an awesome job!  Plus I introduced her to the ruffler attachment and she wants to ruffle everything now!  I can’t wait to get this room finished and check it off the list, but it looks like it might be awhile.

One of the other finishing touches I did was in my daughter’s master bedroom. I have been browsing HomeGoods for awhile (daily) looking for a starburst mirror that was about 26″ in diameter.  And the other day I scored one for $24.99.  Woohoo. 

I immediately took it over to my daughter’s house and hung it above their bed.

I can’t believe the price and how perfect it fits above their bed.  I can now check that off my list, but now have to think of another excuse as to why I need to go to HomeGoods daily.

Our master suite is very large and it is hard to capture the entire room in one shot. There are so many details in the room that I would love to share, but I have a feeling it would make this post 5 pages long.  So I will just give a couple of highlights. The walls have a beautiful faux finished background with a hand stencil layered on top. The swirl design mimics the burnout sheers in the room.  When I design a room, I love to bring in texture and depth.  I obsess about details.  It is a fault yet at the same time, I guess a talent that makes it my own signature style. The carrera marble fireplace  was something my husband and I found at an auction in Atlanta. It is super heavy, and since our master is on the second floor, we had to reinforce the floor just for the fireplace.  All the drapery treatments are motorized and can be opened and closed from any wall switch or from an ugly looking Crestron screen you can see sitting next to our bed in the first picture.  Pretty huh?

We have two sitting areas in the room.  The one in front of the fireplace, and one in front of the slider that leads to the backyard.  

I just love the style of these chairs, the pleated skirt on the bottom and the finish on the legs that matches the scroll work on top.  They are even more comfy to sit in, nice and roomy and oh so soft.

This armoire holds our our old school big box TV. 

The chandelier is one of my favorite elements of the room.

This is the doorway that leads to the master bathrooms.  I hope someday to get around to taking some pictures of this area.  It will be my motivator to pretty up the closets and and make the shampoos and toiletries disappear in the shower.But here is a sneak peek..I actually had a wonderful photographer come take some professional pictures of other areas of our home, which I have posted  here
