Pretty ideas for storing jewelry & belts

Pretty ideas for storing jewelry & belts

By Stephanie on January 11, 2013

I was shopping at a small boutique recently and noticed how pretty they displayed their jewelry and belts.   They used different style bowls and tiered containers making it look so pretty, I wanted to buy everything.  I thought it was such a good idea, I came home and used the same concept for my own jewelry and belts.

The first thing I got was this hanging thing at Homegoods, {don’t know what it is called}  I thought it would be a great way to hang my necklaces

And it was.  Now they don’t get tangled and I can easily see what I have.

Then I found some pretty bowls in different sizes.  One for my watches {the thing I wear the most as you can see by how many I have}

and one for my bracelets

Then just for the fun of it, I added an Anthropologie bowl to my tray of lotions to hold a few nail polishes

For my belts,  I picked up two of the these tiered stands at Homegoods.  It takes seconds to roll the belts and lay them into the tray.

I think the tiered tray for my belts is my favorite.  By having them in view like this, I can quickly choose which belt I want.

Here is one from Sav-on Crafts that looks similar to what I used

Are you kidding me?

Are you kidding me?

By Stephanie on May 24, 2011

You all know my passion is interior design,  but I also love weddings and events.  So in order to feed my addiction of all things weddings, I have an Etsy shop that I make and sell silk flower balls and bouquets.  I love my little Etsy shop and working with brides.

The most amazing thing happened to my little Etsy shop today. I got an email this morning stating I was on the Etsy front page.  Are you kidding me?  I thought for sure it was some type of advertisement scam.  I clicked on it just in case and it was legitimate!  I can not tell you how loud I squeeled.  Two years I have had my shop open and never once had I ever been on their front page.  Not that I ever thought I would be, there are a TON of sellers with awesome creative items, but it has always been a secret dream to be on there.

I took a screen shot since I knew it would be gone in a couple of hours.  I wanted to savor it for as long as I could

Mine is the third picture on the left, the white and green ranuncula flowers.  It just made my day.

I also sent out my second international order today, {my first being to Japan} to the country of Azerbaijan.  Never heard of it, have you?  Here is where it is located.

My Etsy Find

My Etsy Find

By Stephanie on April 30, 2010

Not only do I sell on Etsy, but I am avid shopper on Etsy. A couple of weeks ago while I was doing my daily browsing on Etsy, I stumbled upon these gorgeous candles.  I fell in love.  I knew I had to have them.  I just got them in the mail yesterday and was so excited to put them to use.  I had the perfect spot for them.

I have two antique candle sconces in my office that flank my antique mirror.  I did not have any candles in them for 3 years.  I just didn’t want to put a plain old candle in them, so I left them bare….until now

The Italian writing on the candle is so awesome. Wow, don’t you just love them!  I know I do!
